Sunday School for children ages 3 to 10 is at 9:50 AM.
Nursery care is available for pre-school age children.
Adult Education is at 9:00 AM

Thursday, March 28 --- Maundy Thursday Service      

7:00 PM Holy Eucharist, Rite II

This day commemorates the last supper, the washing of the feet of the disciples by Jesus and the betrayal of Jesus.

It is followed by the ceremonial and symbolic stripping of the altar after which everyone leaves in silence.

Friday, March 29 --- Good Friday Service

                                  12 Noon - The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Solemn Collects                                       

The meditative service consists of the Passion according to the Gospel of John and the solemn collects,the most ancient Western form of the Prayers of the People.

There is no communion on this day and there is little or no music.

                    8:00 PM  Saturday, March 30 --- The Great Vigil  

               This is the principal Easter service and climactic liturgy of the Christian year.

                                                                                                                                       

The people of St. Michael's  will meet on the patio to strike the first fire of  Easter, to light the Pascal candle and to form a procession to bring the new light of Christ back into the darkened church.

This service dates from the late first century/early second century and is the oldest service in the Christian church.

Sunday, March 31 --- Easter

                                                                                            10:00 AM   Holy Eucharist, Rite II                                                                                               

Everyone is invited to bring wild flowers and garden flowers to use to flower the cross before the Easter service.  

This custom that you may remember from childhood is still part of the Easter observance at St. Michael's.
