Farewell to the old white house
Say 'good-bye' to the old white house, on to a higher and better use. Since the building was no longer suitable for church use, the house has been moved to a new site by its new owner. The house was originally used by the planners in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the WPA project to create Blanco State Park, including "Culverts and Bridges, Retaining Wall and Steps, Stone Walks, Stone Dams, Picnic Tables, Rock Seats, Benches, Picnic Table and Bench Combinations, Camp Stoves, Rock Wall, Concession House-Café (currently a maintenance building), Concession Building (currently the group pavilion), and Pump House (no longer in use)." Photos courtesy of Mike Patterson, whose wife Carolyn deserves great thanks for tireless persistence and patience getting the process through the quagmires of logistical, legal and diocesan requirements.

On June 16, we were blessed to welcome the Rt. Rev. Jennifer Brooke-Davidson, Bishop Suffragan to St. Michael and All Angels to celebrate confirmation and a festive luncheon.
